"The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence."

Education For Life
Discover a nurturing environment where children’s education is rooted in Christian values and guided by an authentic Montessori curriculum. Through a consistent approach spanning early childhood to adolescence, we honor each stage of development, fostering growth, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our Montessori Program

Bay Area Montessori House is the only AMI Montessori school in the Houston/Clear Lake area. Our thoughtfully prepared environments—guided by experienced Montessori educators—help children grow in responsibility, self-assurance, and a natural enthusiasm for learning.
Through hands-on exploration, freedom within limits, and purposeful work, students cultivate deep engagement with their studies and their community. Grounded in faith and guided by true Montessori principles, our program nurtures capable, compassionate learners and lays the foundation for lifelong growth—an education for life.
Prepared Environments
Our beautiful prepared environments and our highly qualified teachers ensure that your child receives an authentic Montessori experience. These unique environments, indoors and out, are where children are free to respond to their natural curiosity and desire to learn and grow.

Ages 2 1/2 - 6
The environment for primary-aged children is carefully structured to foster independence, exploration, and a love for learning. These environments are designed with specific areas and materials that encourage self-directed activity, while also focusing on key developmental areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture.

Ages 6 - 12
The prepared environment for elementary-aged children the focus shifts to further developing critical thinking, problem-solving, abstract reasoning, and collaborative learning. At this stage, the Montessori approach emphasizes self-directed learning through exploration of more complex topics, while still maintaining a hands-on, experiential approach to learning.

Ages 12 -14
In the environment for adolescents the approach shifts to self-directed learning, community building, real-world application, and personal development. This stage of Montessori education fosters an environment where young people can explore their identities, engage with the world around them, and build skills for adulthood. The environment is designed to be a workshop for life.
The Atrium is the home to our Godly Play program, which is a Montessori-based method used for religious education, was developed by Jerome Berryman. Godly Play creates an experience where spiritual growth is nurtured through a prepared environment that encourages wonder, exploration, and sacred space.
The HER (before and after care) room provides play centered activities for indoor & outdoor individual exploration. In the home-like atmosphere of the HER, children are encouraged to play and rest. The program is open on all school days and closed on school holiday and vacation days.
Outdoor Enviroments
Our outdoor environments are essential for fostering growth and creativity in students. Incorporating gardens and play areas allows children to connect with nature, learn about sustainability, and engage in physical activity. These not only promote physical health but also enhance social skills and teamwork as students interact and collaborate during play.
Parent Participation
A strong home–school partnership is at the heart of what we do. Grounded in faith and shared purpose, we value parent involvement, maintain open communication, and provide regular insights into each child’s growth. Together, we foster a connected, supportive community that nurtures both the mind and the heart.
-Parent Guild-
Our Parent Guild is an extension of our school community, bringing families together in a spirit of service and shared values. Through their time and talents, parents support school life while helping to cultivate a welcoming environment for all.
-Parent Nights-
Conversations in Community with Mrs. Nielsen, a monthly gathering for parents. It will be a relaxed space to hear school updates, explore Montessori topics, and engage in meaningful conversations with fellow parents and school leadership. Along with other parent opportunities for parents to be engaged in their child's development.
WHAT PARENTS SAY
Former Parent
"This hidden jewel devotes its entire time to the children who are privileged to go there. The only drama you will find are the short plays the students entertain us all with."
Former Parent
"After the day, I query to my children about the day and the school. The answer was in both kids the same, “Can we go back to that school tomorrow? Please?”… The education is based on the commitment of the school, the Student and Parents/guardians. We ALL have to do our part of the work to make it a success. I can assure, the school is doing their part."
Current Parent
"Outstanding! I can't express enough positive feelings about BAMH! Quality education. My child comes home happy and excited about school. She picks out her school clothes the night before and comes home with positive stories of her experiences."

WHAT ALUMNI SAY
Bay Area Montessori House has shaped my and my family's life in so many positive ways! I experienced the benefits of a Montessori education for myself from attending BAMH and it made such an impact on my life that I never entertained any other option for my own kids. They are thriving here at BAMH, are ahead of their non-bamh peers academically, and I have peace of mind knowing they are guided by upstanding adults at school. BAMH has created a true community between the school, parents, and children in order to raise to the next generation of thinkers and doers!
